Overview
In this session, Simon will offer preventive care, contraceptive counseling, and preconception care for transgender and non-binary people, including gender-affirming menstrual suppression. Common gynecologic concerns related to gender-affirming testosterone therapy and gender-affirming vaginoplasty will be covered. Simon will discuss abortion care considerations for transgender and non-binary people.
Speakers
Simon is a graduate of Seattle University’s midwifery program. They are a fellow of the American College of Nurse- Midwives (ACNM) and received the 2021 Excellence in Leadership and Innovation Award from ACNM. They have clinical specialties in abortion care, LGBTQ family building, and GYN care for transgender and non-binary people. They are in clinical practice at Cedar River Clinics in Seattle and Tacoma, WA.
