Pediatric primary care and urgent care

ICU setting

Generations Visiting Providers, doing home visits for disabled, psychiatric, hospice, and geriatric patients. Able to do CXR, EKG, Labs, ultrasounds within the home. Occasionally see patient's in office.

Mon thru Friday 8-5. Must be able to pass background check.

Pediatric Urgent Care

This is a busy pediatric clinic that sees anywhere from 10-100 patients a day and a wide variety of problems. I am a pediatrician (MD) who would like to be a preceptor for an NP student. I work at several locations around San Antonio, and the shifts are very variable - we are open 7 days a week, so there should be ample time to fit in all the hours you might need! We do xrays and some minor procedures (splinting, suturing, draining abscess, removing foreign bodies), so you will likely get some exposure to these things as well. I am a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and love to teach!

NP Driven practice. We see patients of all ages throughout the lifespan. We also do some aesthetics but our primary function is to provide primary care to our patients.

You will always be precepting with an NP, not a physician.

Acute care and internal medicine The work setting is an adult bone marrow transplant unit considered a critical care setting. Will follow inpatients and outpatients. Expose to multiple procedures (bone marrow biopsy, LP, art-line, PICC line). Mandatory weekly COVID-19 test currently, and PPE protocols. We are willing to assist if your academic center has an agreement with South Texas Veterans Health Care System.

Duty hours M-F 7:30 -4PM no weekends are holidays
