TNPF Scholarship Are Now Being Accepted - Deadline June 15, 2023

TNPF provides up to seven annual scholarships. Applications will be accepted from May 1, 2023 through June 15, 2023. To be eligible for consideration, be sure to provide all required documents. Once the application is open, if you would like to save your application progress, you will need to make an account once you click on the application link below. No mailed applications will be accepted. For your convenience, a check list of items that you will need for the application is below.
TNPF Scholarship Applicants
The Texas Nurse Practitioner Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of six $1500 scholarships for 2023. Scholarships will be awarded to applicants enrolled in master’s/post-master’s degree Nurse Practitioner programs or Nurse Practitioners obtaining doctoral degrees. Eligible applicants must:
- Hold a current Texas RN license;
- Be a resident of Texas;
- Have completed at least 25% of an accredited Master’s Nurse Practitioner Program or Post Master’s Certificate Nurse Practitioner Program or a Nurse Practitioner who has completed at least 25% of an accredited Doctoral Nursing Program. (A letter of verification of current enrollment status must be included from the Program Director, stating whether enrolled part-time or full time in the program.);
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher;
- Be a Student, First Year Graduate, Regular, or Legacy member of Texas Nurse Practitioners; and
- Submit the application prior to the deadline with all required information.
Each scholarship shall be a one-time monetary award given directly to the individuals selected.

Katie Russell Memorial Scholarship Application
The Katie Russell Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established to provide an annual scholarship to a TNP member who is enrolled in a pediatric nurse practitioner program or enrolled to further pediatric education in Texas. Eligible applicants must:
- Hold a current Texas RN license;
- Be a resident of Texas;
- Have completed at least 25% of an accredited Master’s Nurse Practitioner Program who is specializing in pediatrics. (A letter of verification of current enrollment status must be included from the Program Director, stating whether enrolled part-time or full-time in the program.);
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher;
- Be a Student, First Year Graduate, Regular, or Legacy member of Texas Nurse Practitioners; and
- Submit the application prior to the deadline with all required information.

TNPF Scholarship Check List
Each applicant must provide the following:
- Total hours in the program
- Number of graduate/doctoral hours completed
- Number of graduate/doctoral hours enrolled for upcoming Fall semester
- Educational background: list of nursing schools attended and degrees earned
- Goal statement
- Proof of TNP membership (can be obtained through your membership profile on TNP's website)
- Proof of enrollment - provide a letter from your program director confirming your enrollment and the number of hours for the upcoming Fall semester.
- Nursing graduate transcript(s) from the registrar. Do not send undergraduate transcripts. (Upload transcripts with the application – not mailed separately.)
- Three professional references using the TNPF Reference Form.
